The product, in the report: Eurosteam Evolution iron....model #6399

Two friends and I purchased Eurosteam Irons at a quilt show on March 14, 2012. Within a few months, all 3 of us began experiencing the same problem. The handles became so hot when using the iron that you almost couldn’t touch them. I even began using a hot pad from the kitchen. I went online and found that other consumers had had the same problem. I contacted the company within my one year warranty and was told to clean the iron and if that didn’t work, to return it...with me paying shipping both ways and possibly paying for repairs. Cleaning didn’t help and I was doing everything according to their manual. The iron is now in the closet. I have to think that because so many people have had the same problem and because the handle gets dangerously hot, it is a manufacturing defect and should not be on the market. Please look in to this before someone is seriously burned.
