The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

  1. No one hurt

Made Sep 29, 2026, sent to the company Oct 6, 2026, published by CPSC Oct 21, 2026

The product, in the report: 10.1 cu ft refrigerator

I bought several of the same model Refrigerator, and they ALL had the same issue with NOT cooling properly. The refrigerator, even when it was set on its coldest setting, stayed at a consistent 50 degrees F, and the Freezer at approx 22 degrees F. This is WELL above the saftey margin according to the FDA for safely storing food.

The product, in the report: 11 cu. ft. Convertible fridge/freezer

We purchased two, brand new Vissani/Galanz fridges/freezers from Home Depot. After setting them up and using them for a period of time, they resistance welded themselves together and one of the units constantly short circuited and tripped the breaker in our electrical panel due to the circuit formed when they resistance welded themselves together. The resistance weld formed through the painted cases of the two units due to poor electrical circuit design and presents a serious hazard. If these had not been plugging into a GFCI outlet the failure could have been much more severe.
