The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

The product, in the report: Stainless steel Thermador built-in refrigerator with bottom slide out freezer door. Model KBURT3651A02

I have Thermador built in Refrigerator/freezer (model KBURT3561A02). The freezer a drawer on the bottom that slides out. I have it for 20 year. O 4/17/2026 I reached into the freezer to retrieve and ice pack and caught my little finger on the top sheared Stainless-steel edge causing a piece of skin to be ( 0.5 x 1 inch) removed. The gasket that protects the sheared edge did( or always had not) not do its job. This is design defect that could be easily corrected by making sure all edges of the stainless steel have all BURRS removed and the gasket slides over the edges ot the steel and protects the users fro potential injury.roper gastees stell door

The product, in the report: Thermador Refrigerator Model T36BT920NS/08

My Thermador refrigerator’s freezer compartment’s icemaker is of a defective design (confirmed by a Certified Thermador Service Technician who examined the unit in my home). Instead of producing individual ice cubes, the “Flex Tray” design produces large clumps of ice with very sharp edges. I have been injured when trying to remove them from the ice cube receptacle.

The product, in the report: Thermador Refrigerator - side by side upper with a drawer freezer at the bottom Model T36IT900NP

I have a Thermador Refrigerator/Freezer - 2 doors on the top for the refrigerator, and a freezer door below. The freezer door below opens upon touch - all three doors opened and the refrigerator came out from the wall (front heavy) and the weight was impossible to manage. Products fell from the refrigerator, some hitting me in the head while trying to hold up the refrigerator. This is a very dangerous design!!!! It happened a second time (twice within a 5 day period) even though we removed some of the weight from the doors. I’m inclined to sue the company - again, products fell from the shelves to the floor and on me, as I was trying to hold up the refrigerator.

The product, in the report: Thermador Refrigerator Model KBUDT4265E06 glass shelf

This relates to a Thermador Refrigerator model KBUDT4265E05 purchased in [REDACTED, specifically the glass shelves inside the refrigerator. I had removed the shelves to wash them and had one in the sink and was spraying it with hot water and it literally exploded. I had, BTW, let the shelves get to room temperature over the course of a few hours before trying to clean them. There was absolutely zero pressure being applied, only water sprayed. I’ve cleaned other manufacturer’s shelves in the same manner without incident.
