The product, in the report: Sanyo 3.7 cu ft refrigerator, gray metal front, black sides. Model number: SR-3720M

RE: Sanyo 3.7 cu ft Refrigerator, Model: SR 3720M Bought at Costco recently. Had several soda cans in it setting of 4/5. Last week, one of the soda cans froze, so I turned it down to 3/5. The night before last, I opened the fridge to find one of the glass shelves had shattered. The glass particles were everywhere and many were small as dust. 3 more cans had tiny punctures from the broken glass and were leaking through these tiny punctures. The night of the indicent, I didn’t think the broken glass would be in pieces so small, so I opened one of the cans and had a drink and immediately felt something sharp in my throat. I then closed the fridge and drank water to try to “get it down”. I inspected the fridge yesterday morning and found that the glass pieces were from the size of dust particles up to 2 inches in diameter. It took hours to clean the fridge and the floor in front of it. I feel the glass shelves are unecessary and unsafe. I’ve reported this to Costco also.
