The product, in the report: Black mini portable cooler 16 X12 MODEL: 82123BK-TA

I purchased a Vivitar mini portable cooler (model: 82123BK-TA) a couple of years ago. We use this cooler in our bedroom to hold bottled water. At 5:30 am today I awoke to a burning smell. As I walked around the house trying to locate where the smell was coming from, I was unable to find the source of the smell. A few minutes later, I returned to my bedroom at the same time that my husband was waking up yelling “Fire!” and at that moment I heard a whoosh as a huge flame engulfed the top of the cooler. We secured a towel and threw the towel over the cooler to put out the flame as smoke filled the bedroom and the smoke alarms were triggered.
