The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

The product, in the report: GE refrigerator model GNE27JYMNFFS

GE refrigerator model GNE27JYMNFFS has a faulty freezer handle that frequently comes off when you pull on it. After enduring this for a few months, I received notice that this was a problem for all models, and a recall was issued. I called and made an appointment for a repairman to fix the problem. Someone came to my house and made the quick fix. I thought the issue was resolved, until my 80-YEAR OLD MOTHER IN LAW pulled on the handle, it came off in her hands, and she fell [REDACTED] on the floor. Luckily, she was not severely injured, though she was bruised.
