  1. No one hurt

Made Dec 14, 2022, sent to the company Dec 16, 2022, published by CPSC Jan 3, 2023

The product, in the report: This is a food processor by Breville. the Sous Chef® 16 Peel & Dice. It is 12” length x 9” width by 17” height. It is silver grey colored base with black trim and neutral clear mixing bowl .

I was making a puree of green bananas, yautia,( a root vegetable ) and potato. All items were raw. I followed the exact instructions in the manual (ver. MAN280b017-D000) on pages 17, and 19. The Micro-Serrated S-Blade shaved razor sharp slivers, chards, and shavings from the bottom of the processing bowl. These numerous dangerous pieces were now distributed throughout the puree. I called Breville who refused to recognize that their product was not fit for use as per the manual. I called up the seller, who refused to assist even though I stated that I needed help in getting Breville to not harm anyone.

In addition to the information supplied, please note that the customer service person spoke with a supervisor and came up with a solution, dont follow the instructions in the manual and use smaller size and less amount of the food I was pureeing and processing. To me, this was an admission of fault, that the product can not and should not be used as sold.
