The product, in the report: Baby Brezza, do not know which models my patient used.

I am an RN who monitors newborn weight/growth. I have had two infants in the past 8 months, one 2 months old, other 5 months old that were having slow weight gain, sometimes weight loss. Determined cause was the baby brezza. Was using incorrect settings. It is far to easy for parents to use the incorrect setting if they do not read instructions fully. Fortunately, these two infants did not develop electrolyte imbalance which could happen.

The product, in the report: Baby Brezza Advanced Pro Formula Maker- similar to a [REDACTED]. It makes formula bottles instantly for parents.

I purchased an advanced pro baby Brezza formula machine. Over the course of approximately 3 weeks I noticed my baby was extremely fussy and wanting to eat more and more even immediately after feeding. I followed the directions and reviewed the settings in their owners manual. Cleaned the machine when prompted by its factory settings. My baby still was extremely fussy, diaper changed to diarrhea. This company (Baby Brezza ) customer service is terrible. They don’t return phone calls and won’t take the product back if used! A huge safety issue for babies especially newborns!!!!

The product, in the report: Baby Brezza Formula Dispenser

I am a Primary Care Pediatrician practicing in Longmont, CO. A 2.5 month old baby I care for in my practice was failing to gain weight for several weeks. I admitted him to the hospital for Failure to Thrive. After extensive evaluation, it was discovered that the source of his poor weight gain was improper mixing of his formula via the Baby Brezza machine the parents were using at home. Per the Nutritionist’s calculations, the machine was mixing the formula at 60% of the appropriate caloric strength, so he was receiving quite dilute formula. This is exceedingly dangerous for a young infant, as it can lead to complications such as severe electrolyte imbalances and seizures in addition to restricted growth. Per the parents’ report, there was another baby on the hospital floor at the same time with the same issue with this machine. It appears there have been many complaints and similar medical complications reported due to this machine working improperly in the past few years. Please recall this product immediately before any further harm is done to young children.

The product, in the report: Baby Brezza formula pro advanced

Bought baby Brezza formula pro advanced. Have been using it a couple days. Machine appears to add extra unmixed water at the end of making a bottle. Formula appears to be less concentrated and more liquidy than when we hand make it. Baby has become extra fussy, been eating less, and started having diarrhea. Machine is not mixing the bottle properly and is dangerous to our sons health.

The product, in the report: Powder formula dispenser

I purchased and used the Baby Brezza advanced pro formula dispenser for 1 month and 10 days. During this time I noticed that my baby began to seem hungry after a full feeding and attributed it to a growth spurt. This behavior persisted. I noticed that the machine seemed to dispense an extra oz of formula but thought that it was the addition of powdered formula which made the bottle appear fuller. After going to his 4 month appointment, I was informed that he had only gained 2 lbs over 2 months when he had previously gained 2 lbs per month. I decided to test the machine by attaching a plastic baggie to the powder dispenser and it repeatedly dispensed the incorrect amount of formula. It dispensed too little formula this making the formula over diluted with water. I used this product for 1 month and am so angry that something like this would even be available for sale. It is dangerous and I’m left wondering if my baby will have long term neurological damage from water toxicity.

The product, in the report: It mixes baby formula - baby breeza

I am a pediatrician. I had a newborn infant who had poor growth at her two week visit. After a discussion with the family about ho wthey were feeding the baby and mixing the formula, I learned that they were using a baby brezza. I didn’t know what it was it quickly learned that it mixed the formula for the baby. We decided to take it out of the equation and have the parents mix it themselves. The baby gained appropriate weight. The parents told me they discovered that the brezza was watering down the formula and not mixing it properly. This is unacceptable. It is very dangerous for baby’s to not get proper nutrition - think rapid brain development starved for fuel. The baby also may undergo extensive testing that is unnecessary.

The product, in the report: Baby Brezza Pro Advanced

We purchase the baby Brezza pro advanced for our daughter when she was 8 months old. We’ve been using it to make her formula for the past few months and have noticed she would throw up a lot as well as not gain much weight (in the 15-27% for weight). And to confirm, we have been cleaning out the machine consistently.

When we saw the New York time’s article today 3/13/2020 regarding the risk of baby Brezza, we tested the powder setting by capturing the amount of powder that comes out with the same setting (powder setting #7 for 2oz) three times. Each time the amount dispensed was radically different, measuring 1.5 then 2 then 3 scoops!! We are very alarmed and furious that a baby product would be so irresponsibly inconsistent and inaccurate. This deserves a class action law suit. We need to do everything we can to alert parents, especially current users of this defective dangerous product for babies.

(07/12/2019) A parent reported that the default setting on the unit is incorrect. The formula for the parent’s child was mixed incorrectly. The child had to be evaluated after drinking the formula but the child is alright.

The product, in the report: Baby Brezza Formula Micer

A family was relying on the Baby Breeze to mix powdered formula for their infant. When they presented for their baby’s well child check it was noted that the baby had lost significant weight. When parents returned home they realized that the Breeza was not mixing correctly leaving diluted formula which was bejng fed to their infant. Once the mixer was no longer used the infant quickly regained weight.

The product, in the report: Baby Brezza Formula Pro

Baby Brezza Formula Pro. Have been using machine for few months to make formula for my baby. Formula has been made to average of 98 degrees which is considered safe by FDA for babies to consume. On 9/18 the bottle seemed hotter than usual. Started testing with a thermometer. Machine has been malfunctioning and heating water to as high as 109 degrees in the water tank. Heated water and formula after mixing out of the machine in the bottle still had temperatures of over 100. Contacted company to resolve issue with no success. They state this is normal. I don’t see how over heated water is normal and safe for babies to consume.
