The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

The product, in the report: Single Auger Juicer Tribest Solo Star 3 This is the NEW BPA Free version of the Solo Star 2.

My wife was juicing some apples, carrots and wheat grass which she has done many times since receiving the juicer. I was in the other room and heard LOUD NOISE and HER SCREAM!

The juicer screen locking cap flew off the end of the juicer and the plastic locking tabs on the auger housing feeding chute had broken off from the internal pressure and shot across the room.

This was a very dangerous moment because the parts that broke off the housing were knife like sharp and could have easily penetrated your skin. (photo attached)

Obviously the plastic on the chute is too brittle to withstand the pressures of everyday use with this unit.
