No one hurt Made Jun 12, 2023, sent to the company Jun 22, 2023, published by CPSC Jul 7, 2023
The product, in the report: counter top-electric juicer
NOTE: The details in this report was transferred from faxes and emails that the consumer sent to CPSC.
The consumer said that he experienced the problem stated in the CPSC Recall# 23-213 and other problems as well.
In light of the problems, he discontinued use of the juicer in early 2022.
He contacted the manufacturer numerous times, but they would not provide a refund as he requested.
The consumer claims that he contacted the manufacturer after the recall was issued (6/1/2023), but they still would not provide a refund or assist him in the manner he preferred.
The consumer wrote: “I had both issues mentioned in the recall plus other issues this is the same excuses you did before, that’s why I’ve also asked the attorney general office to investigate you for making bull excuses to not pay my refund. Stop making crappy reasons you need to be sued as well for the crappy business refund practices you have. I am working on that with a senator and news media against your crappy outfit of a company.”
I had problem with juicer in [ILLEGIBLE]. I notified company, got the runaround. So after a few attempts I stopped using juicer after [ILLEGIBLE] months.

The product, in the report: Power XL Juicer Model SHL90-SC
The consumer indicates that she turned her juicer on to high speed and added celery in it. Less than one minute later, the unit exploded and the metal mesh inside it broke off and hit her in her stomach, making a one-inch laceration. The consumer notes that had it not been for the waist trainer she was wearing, her laceration would have been much deeper and bigger.
The consumer contacted the Manufacturer and explained the situation; the representative she spoke to informed her that they would escalate her complaint to the Supervisor.
The consumer states that the unit was used two to three times per month.
The consumer plans on keeping her unit for at least the next thirty days in case an investigation ensues.
