The product, in the report: electric juicer
8/8/2022: The consumer noticed pieces of black particles in the pulp that’s separated from the fruit, when juice is made. When she cleaned the pulp, there were pieces of black plastic present.
There is a wheel that spins in the juicer and some of the plastic pieces broke off of it as well. The plastic broke away on the support housing of this container. The consumer has been consuming plastic shavings for an unknown length of time and she is concerned about the potential health effects down the line.
The consumer contacted the manufacturer and said that their representative blamed the issue on the way the consumer cared for the product. However, after some back and forth, with several calls, the manufacturer agreed to provide a full refund for the product.
The consumer is also concerned about others that may have been exposed to this issue.
The juicer has an Intertek Number: [REDACTED]
