The product, in the report: Electric Tea Kettle

We purchased a Sur Le Table Electric Kettle from Costco a couple of years ago. (Model SLT-4408, Serial number 2414). Several months ago I found the kettle still boiling away long after it had been turned off. From that point forward we have endeavored to turn the unit off after each use. This morning I found the kettle boiling away after my husband had turned it off at least 10 minutes prior. Although we usually unplug it, sometimes we forget. I contacted the manufacturer (877-246-0990) and they did not seem concerned. I was told that is why they advise the unit be unplugged when not in use.
