Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

    The product, in the report: Ceramax Hot Pot (Electric Hot Pot for Cooking, Portable Hotpot Pot Electric Cooker Frying Pan for Dorm Room Essentials, Camping, RVs - 2024 Model}

    I have a Ceremax electric hot pot that I bought at Amazon in Dec 2024. Yesterday while using it, I noticed a burn in the handle that was smoking while the pot was still in use. It was actually smoking. I have pics of the burn area. I have notified Ceremax customer support about the issue and included the pics1

  2. No one hurt

    Made Mar 2, 2025, sent to the company Mar 5, 2025, published by CPSC Mar 19, 2025

    The product, in the report: An electric ceramic hotpot to cook in with two heat settings on the handle. The separate electric cord, with a 3-prong plug, plugs into the handle which, in turn, plugs into an electric outlet. It’s white in color. It comes in two sizes. This was the 1.5 L/1.6QT size. Interior measures 7.5 inches in diameter.

    The handle of a Ceramax electric pot overheated and burnt a hole in that handle. Its three pronged plug was plugged into a normal electric outlet. The pot was not empty. There was the smell of an electric fire. It was unplugged immediately and did not outwardly ignite. Luckily no one was injured.
