On August 30, 2025, I used my BLONGKY portable electric car kettle per the product specifications to make tea. While driving, the kettle exploded and I received multiple burns. One burn and blister covered a 4” x 4” area and took 6 weeks to heal. I have permanent scarring.

On first use of a 12v/24 car kettle, the product erupted with scalding water. About half the boiling water was expelled. I experienced a minor scald on my hand and a very minor scald on my face.
The kettle, although appearing to have a small vent hole on the lid. The vent hole goes through some sort of a labyrinth, possible to whistle or limit hot liquid egress, but in actuality is tightly sealed. Unknown if this is a a design or manufacturing issue.
The kettle wants to heat to 212 deg. F. before shutting down. At sea level this is fine. But at 9200 ft. in Silverthorne CO, water boils at 195 deg. F. This caused the water to become super heated. Upon release of pressure, some of the water converts instantly to steam expelling much of the liquid water.
