The product, in the report: Basic [slow cooker]
I had my [slow cooker] at a picnic. It was just the [slow cooker] and lid, not the entire unit (so obviously it was not plugged in). It had been sitting on a table for several hours. The [slow cooker] was completely cool at this point. I was standing about 8 feet away talking with a group of people when we heard an explosion. We all looked at each other and walked over to the table (no one was around the table at the time of the explosion thank God). Here the lid to the [slow cooker] had exploded all over the place. It was in and on other food and all over the table. We had to pitch some food and take the table cloth completely off because there was no way to clean up all the glass as it had flown everywhere. It was very scary to think my kids or other kids or even adults could have been in the path of the flying glass!
