The product, in the report: Pampered Chef RockCrok 4qt Slow Cooker Set
I have had the Pampered Chef RockCrok Slow Cooker for about 7 months. It’s a great product, however it has one major design flaw. There is a metal ring around the top of the cooking base that gets extremely hot. This ring does not have any type of cover and it is also VERY close to the handles on the slow cooker and it is very easy to accidentally touch them. Tonight I reached for the handle and accidentally touched the metal ring again, leaving me with almost an inch long burn on the palm of my hand.
There are a few reviews on the product on their website that mention this design flaw. If this isn’t fixed, or some type of adaptor created as a protective shield, someone is going to be seriously injured. I also fear that a child could be injured in the event they reach up on a counter and accidentally touch it.
