The product, in the report: Mac & Cheese cooker -- blue and yellow plastic with electric heating element and non-stick bottom.
We purchased an electric Macaroni & Cheese cooker called “Mac & Cheese Nation” at the Tuesday Morning retail outlet. It is the Model MAC-1E distributed by a company called SmartPlanet. Its web site is www.smartplanethome.com and the label on the bottom of the product claims that it conforms to UL STD. 1026 and CSA Std. C22.2 No. 64. It also has the statement “Intertek 3123002” and “Made in China.”
The first time we used it we added water according to the directions and plugged it in. It started to boil quite quickly -- and then all the water started pouring out of the vent slots in the bottom -- running all over the wiring and heating element. This is a very dangerous fault.
