  1. No one hurt

Made Feb 1, 2013, sent to the company Feb 11, 2013, published by CPSC Feb 26, 2013

The product, in the report: AUTOMATIC RICE COOKER

I bought a rice cooker from Fry’s Electronic in March 2010, the brand is Krups model RX7011. The manufacturuer replaced twice with a brand new set both under warranty one in 2011 then in 2012 due to the following problems : 1) Automatic shut-off failed to work after cooking cycle so it burns the rice. We had to unplug the unit from the AC outlet. 2) Does not go to keep warm mode. When it does it has a tendency to switching to cooking mode by itself. We had one night we woke up with a non stop beeping sound of the cooker and smell of burning rice. I refused to accept anymore replacement this being the 3rd time because I’m afraid given the above repeated incidents that this product is not safe to use and will put me and my family in danger.

I just want the distributor (Fry’s) to replace it with another brand.
