The product, in the report: Food Network 7 quart programmable digital [slow cooker] in stainless steel
My Food Network programmable [slow cooker] lid exploded into a million pieces during use yesterday. Glass everywhere and in the food. Luckily no one was standing nearby when it happened.

The product, in the report: Food Network Slow Cooker Sensio, Inc. Item: 18014
Food Network Slow Cooker Sensio Inc. Model: YDE-1006 ITEM: 18014
I’ve had the slow cooker for approx. 2 yrs.
I noticed that the slow cooker had not heated the food after 4+ hours. I checked on it several times throughout the day & the display was working normally. My husband, who has some experience with electrical work, took the slow cooker apart & discovered that in two places the insulation appeared to be burned through & the wires were charred. The wire insulation is brittle & falling to pieces along the length of the wire. What was left of the wire was black & very brittle. We are very glad we found this b/c it stopped working as opposed to someone being shocked b/c of the short. We are keeping the slow cooker for a while and would be happy to send pictures.
I bought it new & since I’ve had it I don’t believe it has had any abnormal use (used dry, on too long, etc.).
