The product, in the report: Farberware triple slow cooker

Caller says that she was going to cook with the unit. Caller went to wipe off the Styrofoam that was on the unit from taking it out of the box. While wiping the product caller cut her right middle finger. Caller says that that entire oval ring is sharp and is not sure if it is supposed to be smoothed down. Caller believes this product is a laceration hazard.

The product, in the report: This is a slow cook Farberware cooker Model# FSC600

Our Farberware slow cooker caught fire on the kitchen counter top. The power cord has a 90* clamp that causes the power cord to bend 180* in the wrong direction. As a result of bending back and forth in use the wire opened and exposed the hot wire. The fire burned a small mark on the counter top. If we had not been in the kitchen I believe the fire would have grown. I have pictures of the appliance, the wire and damage to the counter top.

The product, in the report: Farberware 6-Quart Programmable slow cooker. Stainless Steel.

On January 5, 2016 I started my Farberware Crock Pot that I purchased from Walmart. Model #104554. 90-120 minutes later the crock pot exploded and my kitchen then caught on fire. Pieces of the crock pot were scattered all over the house. If someone had been in the kitchen when it happened it may have killed them. I have tried numerous times to contact Farberware. They say they only put their name on it. They are not responsible for it. I have been directed to several different companies after that but nobody will claim the product. I have a fire report that stated it was not an electrical fire. It started in the crock pot. I feel like this product is unsafe and Farberware is putting other consumers at risk because they do not want to take responsibility for a product that they put their name on.
