The product, in the report: White oval slow cooker/[REDACTED]. Everstar brand, model ASC-615.
staAs we have done dozens of times, I put the ingredients for stroganoff into our Everstar Slow Cooker (model ASC-615). I put the lid on, turned it on high, and left to go run errands.
When I came home 2 hours later, the lid to the cock pot was still sitting where I left it, but it was shattered. The handle was off, there was glass down in the food, and there was glass all over the stove.
Nobody was in the room when it happened, fortunately, but my 3 small children were in the next room watching movies and my husband was in his office in the basement. The kids (ages 6,4, and 3) reported hearing “a glass being dropped--but when we went into the kitchen, we couldn’t see it”. Thank goodness they weren’t in the kitchen at the time!
Unprovoked, untouched, the glass lid exploded. Someone could have been seriously hurt!
