Emergency room Made Feb 6, 2017, sent to the company Mar 1, 2017, published by CPSC Mar 15, 2017
The product, in the report: CorningWare [slow cooker] Model SCO-150 White with green ivy leaves
Washing my [slow cooker] and it hit the back of the sink and exploded with glass flying all over my kitchen and even into the next room cutting my left hand with deep lacerations needing 13 stitches. I could understand if hitting the sink and counter from a close range if it cracked and broke but it was like it exploded. There had to be some type of defect to cause the severity of shattering of the base of the crockpot. It was at room temperature and no known cracks, etc.
