No one hurt Made Oct 9, 2014, sent to the company Oct 20, 2014, published by CPSC Nov 3, 2014
The product, in the report: CONTINENTAL ELECTRIC METALLIC SERIES SLOW COOKER 5 Q MODEL CM43855
used my slow cooker on 10/4/14 half way thru I looked in on it and a bad smell coming from it. With further inspection noticed one of the cookers 3 leg stands completely melted down to my countertop. Now off balance the cooker is resting on the melted legs along resting on the electrical cord which had been melted to expose the wires!. I have Notified the company CE NORTH AMERICA LLC MIAMI FL sent them photos, was told by the rep he contact his boss and tech people about this issue. They refuse to send me another or even talk compensation due to the fact I have no proof of purchase which was purchased a year ago. Whether it’s under war or not this stupid thing nearly cost me my home! I have told them how unhappy I am with their lack of concern of what may have taken place.

First aid Made Oct 26, 2013, sent to the company Nov 4, 2013, published by CPSC Nov 19, 2013
The product, in the report: Continental Electric Platinum Series Slow Cooker 7.0QT Model number CP43879 I don’t know where it was purchased, it was a gift
Below I pasgted what I just wrote to this company.
I don’t know the purchase date. This Slow cooker was given to me brand new in an unopened box on 10/21/2013 as a gift. I did not ask her where she bought it or how much she paid for it. It was a gift. I just used it for the first time, and this thing is detrimental to your health.
The very first and only use, I was slow cooking some ribs, with bbq sauce. Before I was to put the bbq sauce on, I opened the lid and used a soup ladle, and took some of the meat dripping and water off the bottom. For one thing the pan is so hot, and is not insulated, I got burned a little on my finger tips.
Next I used a handle at one end to tilt the pan up to pool the liquid in the bottom to scoop it out better, THE [REDACTED] HANDLE FELL OFF, SPLASHING HOT LIQUID FROM THE MEAT, WITH GREASE IN IT ON MY HAND BURNING MY HAND. i HAVE ALOE VERA ON IT NOW AND BURN CREAM. It is about the size of a lemon, the burn on my hand. It’s not small.!!!
Also, I am using [REDACTED] Slow cooker bags, in the slow cooker, and it is melting the bags.... I have had several slow cookers in the past, I have NEVER seen a slow cooker this hot, THANK GOD MY GRAND CHILDREN WERE NOT HERE AND TOUCHED IT. My small slow cooker, that is older, doesn’t get hot on the outside at all.
I have to throw my meal out, since the slow cooker bag is melted all over the food, rendering it inedible. The slow cooker I will not use again, it is very DANGEROUS!!!!
I am going to report this thing to www.safeproducts.gov and the consumer protection agency. No one needs to buy one of these things. If my hand keeps swelling and starts to blister I will be going to the hospital.
I HAVE PICTURES OF MY HAND, MY BURN RIGHT AFTER IT HAPPENED, THE BROKEN HANDLE THE BROKEN POT AND THE MELTED SLOW COOKER BAG. IF YOU WANT TO SEE WHAT YOUR COOKER DID, EMAIL ME BACK AND I WILL EMAIL YOU THE PHOTOS!!
