How badly anyone was hurt

  • No one hurt 2 CPSC: Incident, No Injury

As each report says it, in short words; CPSC’s own words are under each.

The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

The product, in the report: Chefmate Microwave

I am writing about a Chefmate microwave that seems to have a keypad that shorts out over time. While running the microwave will stop running for a second and then start to run again. The keypad will freeze up and will become unresponsive. Sometimes when you open the microwave the turntable will start turning on its own. I am concerned because others seem to be having the same problem with this model also.

The product, in the report: Chefmate Microwave oven

Just about ready to reach for microwave door when the rotating glass plate exploded. This is very serious for if it had been one second later, my face would be full of glass. Temperature was on medium for 4 minutes to cook popcorn. High would burn it.
