The product, in the report: chest freezer five cubic feet
Around the seal of the freezer on the freezer door has condensed water that causes it to drop down onto the floor near the plug and is causing minor damages to the wooden floor that it sits on.
October of 2010 the seal was repaired by the firm but she still currently experiences the failure with the unit. She learned that her model is the first model of that line and believes that it was poorly designed and could pose as a fire hazard.
On 7/10/2011 she heard arching near the chest freezer which is located in her dining room. Her husband immediately powered off the circuit breaker and unplugged it from the wall outlet.
On 7/11/2011 she contacted the firm and they only afforded to replace the seal once again. She does not want them to replace the seal again because it does not repair the problem but instead is considering replacing the unit. The unit is still currently unplugged from the wall outlet.
