The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

  1. First aid

Made Oct 14, 2025, sent to the company Oct 29, 2025, published by CPSC Nov 26, 2025

The product, in the report: Steam Cleaner, Pressurized Handheld Steam Cleaner for Home with 12pcs Accessories & Safety Lock, Multi-Surface & Powerful Home Use Steamer for Cleaning, Car, Bathroom, Shower, Window, Grime, Grease

I purchased a handheld pressurized steam cleaner. It stopped working after the first use. After following the troubleshooting instructions, the top exploded off and burned my face.

There is nothing in the user guide stating that this is a risk. It says that the cap is designed so that it can only be removed when the tank pressure and temperature are low. For me to easily remove the cap after waiting for it to cool, and to have the cap explode off, splashing me with steaming water is unsafe. Additionally, a sticker on the packaging itself says to wait 5 minutes, the online trouble shooting page says 20-30 minutes, and the user guide included with the product does not give a specific time.
