No one hurt Made May 22, 2022, sent to the company May 24, 2022, published by CPSC Jun 8, 2022
The product, in the report: Black and Decker HGS011F Easy Garment Steamer
I purchased a Black & Decker HGS011F Clothing Steamer. I followed all safety precautions, and only filled the water tank to half of the “Max Fill” line. As soon as the water heated up, instead of just steam, boiling water came spewing out of the steamer head, nearly burning my hand. I have a video demonstrating this happening. I have reported it to B & D customer support but feel this requires a report to the CSPC as well.
When I tried uploading a video and photos to this report, the CSPC web site returned an error. I have the video available.
