The product, in the report: Quietside Tankless Water Heater Model # ODW-199B
My tankless water heater, which was under a Safety Recall notice already (Quietside designed by Daesung, distributed by Challenger Supply), caught fire after the repair equipment had been installed. I have contacted Challenger Supply, but they have been unresponsive to-date. I received the recall notice in November 2014; the repair equipment was installed 12/31/15; the melted electronic mother board occurred on 1/24/15. While I cannot ascertain that the two incidents are related, the unit caught fire either way (while it was a minor internal fire, which melted part of the motherboard housing, it might have been worse had I not disconnected the machine).
