Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

The product, in the report: waffle maker

This information was transferred from an email to the CPSC Information Center.

When the product is in the opened position, the lid doesn’t have anything to keep it opened. This means that when you are trying to remove waffles, the lid slams down onto the users hands. The consumer believes that a person would need three hands to remove waffles safety from the maker. The consumer has looked at several different websites and found that it received very poor results for this same reason.

The consumer claims that she received minor burns as a result of this issue.

The product, in the report: rotary waffle maker--Bella, by Sensio, Inc Model TSK-2126BW(13591)

We had used the waffle maker many times--maybe had made about 20 waffles. This time, we heard a pop, and a chocolate chip shot out of the middle of the waffle. A few seconds later, the iron split in 2, with the waffle flying out completely, and the hot iron landing on the counter. Bits of hard plastic flew around the kitchen. Nobody was hurt, thankfully, but I think it was just due to our location when the appliance popped.
