The product, in the report: Four-slice Black Toastmaster. Model: TM46TS. 120V-60Hz 1500W. Listed number E505823

I was cooking my family breakfast and put four pieces of toast in the toaster. The toaster didnt toast it enough to our liking so I pushed the lever down to cook it longer. I popped the lever up, the lever broke but the toaster continued to cook with the lever in the up position. I had to unplug the toaster to get it to turn completely off.

The product, in the report: White toaster. 10 1/2” by 5 1/2”. Has settings for cancel, pop tarts, and dark. Label on front says Auto safety shutoff

Toastmaster model T2000W toaster. Toaster sticks on the on position even when bread pops up. First time (jan 2013) i had taken bread and walked off and smelled burning and went back to kitchen and saw that smoke coming from toaster. Looked inside and coils were red hot and still in cooking mode. Has happened 3 times now (april 2013) and wont use anymore for fear of starting a fire.
