The product, in the report: GE Toaster Model 106808, Series C220BI UL Listing Type T31 Toaster, Listed 516B, E6132 Sold by Wal-Mart Customer Service # 877-207-0923 | Model Model 106808, Series C2260BI

GE Toaster Model: 106808 Series: C2260Bi Sold by Wal-Mart

Toaster worked correctly until this week. Put 2 each bread in toaster at a setting of 7 and started toaster. I was doing dishes in kitchen and noticed the toaster did not shut off. Did a cancel and the toast came up burnt black and this set off the smoke alarm. Tried the toaster one more time on a setting of 1 (lowest setting). Toaster still did not stop toasting and had to cancel and the smoke detector went into alarm. Glad I did not leave room while toasting bread or it would have started a fire. Removed toaster from service and will be calling Wal-Mart Customer Service at 877-207-0923.
