The product, in the report: This is a Bodum Bistro Toaster, 2-Slice, Silver UPC/SKU: B07F6MYV6X
I just received a product recall from Amazon for a Bodum toaster: Bodum Bistro Toaster, 2-Slice, Silver UPC/SKU: B07F6MYV6X 12/05/2018 - 114-6801579-7505805 - Bodum Bistro Toaster, 2-Slice, Silver
I saw that no reports had been filed in the U.S. I was zapped by this toaster and assumed it was my fault. This happened several weeks ago when I was cleaning my counters and grabbed the toaster to move it. I accidentally touched the inside of the toaster and got shocked. I felt that this was my fault because I shouldn’t have touched the inside (I didn’t mean to). In hindsight however, I don’t know if anything should have happened because the toaster wasn’t on. (I didn’t press the button down to toast anything.) Maybe it was drawing current even though it wasn’t activated to toast anything.
Thanks, [REDACTED]
