No one hurt Made Apr 13, 2012, sent to the company Apr 23, 2012, published by CPSC May 7, 2012
The product, in the report: It is a white hand mixer with silver removeable beaters. It has a gray on/off button that slides into six different positions. The release button for the beaters is also grey. It’s probably about 8 inches long and 4 inches high (not including beaters)
My mixer suddenly starting turning on when you plug it in even though the on/off switch is in the off position. Fortunately My hands were clear of the beaters so I didn’t get hurt but it is obviously unsafe. I have tried several times to wiggle the switch and such to make sure that it was fully in the off position but it continues to mix even though it is firmly in the off position. The only way to turn it off is to unplug it.
