    The product, in the report: Kitchen Stand Mixer

    My Kenmore Model 100.8920890A Electric Stand Mixer occasionally starts on its own even when turned off. Only removing the plug from the wall stops it. The interlock that should inhibit running when the head is lifted doesn’t stop it either. The local Sears store in Lima Ohio refuses to fix it and also their national service center.

    The product, in the report: Kenmore 5-speed hand mixer; model 100.89109

    ... extremely dangerous product; we didn’t realize, at point-of-purchase, sears’ top-of-the-line Kenmore hand mixer, model 100.89109, is prone to a domino affect; a fundamentally defective design, its (1) defective retractable cord prone to suddenly retracting, no rhyme or reason, (2) jerks the hand mixer into its on position, which (3) subsequently entangles your fingers and hand, into the beeters of this hand mixer --

    The product, in the report: Kenmore Elite Red Stand Mixer 400watt, 5quart, 120Va.c, 60Hz. Serial #100.8920890A

    Kenmore Elite 400 watt 5 quart Red Stand Mixer Product faultiness description Serial #100.8920890A / 120Va.c 60Hz Made in China 8/9/14

    To Whom it May Concern;

    I was given a Kenmore Elite 400, 5 quart Red Stand Mixer as a gift from my then boyfriend in the Christmas of 2010. I haven’t used it since 2012, the last time I video taped it spinning out of control.

    This mixer will suddenly speed up in the middle of mixing something on slow speed. I would be mixing say, some cake batter on #2, it immediately would speed up to #9 in half a second. Very quickly! It would fling batter or flour everywhere. My son would be baking with me and he got really got scared of it. I would stop it immediately of course. It scared me too! The mixer is pretty heavy duty and something really serious could’ve happened, fingers hurt, parts could’ve come undone, who knows. No injuries have occured. I tried to use a few times after but it would speed up even more frequently. This mixer is really dangerous and unpredictable. I do not recommend buying this product and I hope there is a recall on it.

    Thank you, [REDACTED]
