The product, in the report: Insignia - Portable Nugget Ice Maker with Auto Shut-Off - Stainless Steel Insignia - Portable Nugget Ice Maker with Auto Shut-Off - Stainless Steel Model: NS-IMN44BS4 SKU: 6524771 Quantity: 1 Item Total: $268.74 Product Price: $249.99 Sales Tax, Fees & Surcharges: $18.75
Internal parts of our ice maker broke/wore off from normal wear and the plastic made its way into the water source and then into the ice bin. While we had noticed some larger pieces, it was soon clear that we had ingested smaller pieces and then even after emptying the water from the machine, we saw residue of micro plastics all along the white walls of the ice bin. With no water, we saw a black film which was the micro-plastic of which we clearly had been ingesting all this time. This product is the Insignia portable ice maker. model: NS-IMN44BS4, serial: 23F02A0207. We bought this online via BestBuy.com November 2023. We used it daily. No mechanical injuries, thankfully although ingesting the larger pieces may have. But we obviously have the smaller and micro-plastics inside of us as we had ingested it for some time.
