The product, in the report: DUXTOP 1800-Watt Portable Induction Cooktop Countertop Burner 8100MC
I purchased a Duxtop 1800-Watt Portable Induction Cooktop Burner (8100MC) from Amazon.com on July, 14, 2012. I have been using it normally for a few months. This evening, while cooking some pasta, I heard a loud popping sound and the cooktop went dead. The outlet was also dead. I checked my circuit breaker and saw that it had triggered, so I reset the circuit breaker and turned the Duxtop unit on again. When I turned it on, flames began shooting out of the back of the unit. I immediately turned it off and disconnected it.
