The product, in the report: Coffee Mug Warmer. Black with blue light that lights when mug is set upon the surface. This device runs on electricity. The power is activated when anything of weight is set upon the surface. There are no temperature controls or on/off switch. The device dimenstions are: 7.17 x 5.63 x 1.34 inches. The device weight is: 9.2 ounces. Please note: There are no UPC codes or serial numbers on the packaging and product. There is no country of origin printed on the package, device or printed manual. Through research on the markings on the power code, at minimum, the power supply is manufactured in China.
I have twice used a Mug Warmer (model BWD-700, MFG: BESTINNKITS) and it reached a temperature well above the 140 degrees- Fahrenheit the manual stated it would reach. I received a slight burn on one finger from the surface. My husband, who works in electrical power protection, used a thermal reader to detect the products temperature. It was 396 degrees Fahrenheit. The device is used to keep hot beverages warm when the beverage container is placed on the surface of the device.
