The product, in the report: 3 section warmer/ serving plate/casserole with lids

The first time I used the Nastalgia warmer/server BCD-992. It badly scorched and warped my countertop. There was no prior damage to the item or countertop. Nostalgia shows this product being used on a wood table. The power cord is short and doesn’t allow many options of areas of use. I used this to keep food warm for a family gathering. The item was used 4-5 hours seta low to med heat. I had the unit on my countertop. The item has 3 sections with lids to keep food warm or it can be used as a warming plate. While cleaning up, I moved the item and noticed that under the middle serving section my countertop was scorched in color to a gold brown and warped. There are tiny bubbles where the middle section was placed. The damaged area is the size of a dinner plate and the entire countertop will have to be replaced. This could have started a fire. I have contacted Nostalgia twice without a response. I tried to contact them third time and web site would not send the form. I have pictures of the damaged area and I still have the item.
