The product, in the report: Warming pad placed on countertop to keep food warm.
We were using a Miller Market warming pad, intended to unroll and keep food warm while plugged in on your countertop. While using this, our quartz countertop loudly popped and cracked. The manufacturer claims that the bumps under the mat keep surfaces cool and they won’t cause damage to surfaces. This is absolutely false and our countertop cracked only the second time using it after it was received as a Christmas gift. Worse still, the company refuses to cooperate or reimburse us for the damages. This product is an absolute hazard for home use and could cause injuries from countertops collapsing onto people or children close by (as its intended for use during gatherings) and also very expensive property damage.
