Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

The product, in the report: KitchekShop Coffee Cup Warmer , black, 6.75” L x5.4” w x 1.2” h, corded electric

A coffee cup warmer I bought in July melted and burned my table. We had it set to 145 with a cup of coffee on it. I smelled burning plastic but couldn’t tell where it was coming from for a while. I discovered the cup warmer as the problem, unplugged it and threw it outside. I burned my hand in the process. I contacted Amazon and they said that the product had a 4.6 rating. I directed them to read the 1 star ratings that detailed the same sort of incidents with this product by other consumers. They offered a refund. I told them it wasn’t the money I was concerned with, it was the possibility of a home burning down that was my point. I have screen shots of the whole conversation.
