The product, in the report: The product is a red Simply Ming deep fryer with detachable/magnetic power cord. The model number is DF-S25, 60Hz, 1500W Intertek 3137742

After cooking a small batch of chicken wings, I noticed a slight smokey/electric smell. I looked down and noticed a piece of metal that was glowing, bright orange. After a second look , I noticed that the plastic that should be covering this metal part was totally melted. I unplugged the fryer. I am thankful that this did not start a fire as the deep fryer contained hot oil.
