The product, in the report: Stainless Steel Deep Fryer
Purchased on Amazon a Ovente stainless steel deep fryer/FDM2201 Series. Overall, pleased until I went to adjust the temperature dial when I suffered a “steam” burn on my palm. My opinion is the temperature gage should be reversed thus avoiding this from happening. I emailed Ovenite SEVERAL times and request acknowledge but no response. I even call Customer service @855-926-2626 and left a message.

The product, in the report: Deep Fryer / Stainless, Black
Out of box, I attempted to use my deep fryer last night. I poured oil in and began heating. About a minute later, I heard a dripping noise coming from kitchen. All of the oil was leaking through the bottom of oil vessel. I unplugged immediately being careful not to burn myself with hot oil. Inspection later showed that the bottom of the unit (plastic) had totally melted. Huge mess that easily could have resulted in fire. It was smoking when I unplugged it. Oil was filled to level in accordance with instruction manual.
