The product, in the report: Deep Fryer
Sunbeam FryRight Electric Deep Fryer Model #3240/3241 On/Off switch was melted togetherand would have caused a home fire had not the ground fault tripped breaker. Although this unit was not used often and was kept clean, hot oil seeped into the interior walls and melted the on/off switch causing an unsafe electrical short. Upon inspection, I am surprised this has not happened with every unit for there is no way to prevent it. I have kept the unit for scrutiny.
