The product, in the report: All clad stainless 3.5l ez clean deep fryer
Note: date of manufacture is a guess .required to enter date . No date listed on item.New purchased all- clad brand 3.5L ez clean pro deep fryer model #EJ814051 . Began leaking substantial amount of cooking oil at the seal between the plastic oil storage box and attached lid ( parts k and k1). On my unit there is a gap that won’t seal/ close on left side allowing cooking oil to seep / splash out into metal bottom of fryer and onto table and floor .this could lead to a slip: fall hazard or a potential grease fire in kitchen or around heating element or flame . I personally slipped on oil in kitchen after leak . No apparent injury noted. When researching defect online , we noted several other exact same leak issues by other consumers.my wife and I both used and noted defect. Prior to leak , we cooked with item exactly as recommended per user manual.
