The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

The product, in the report: purchased on Amazon 9/4/23 Sekaer Portable Electric Tea Kettle Travel Small Mini Coffee Kettle, with 4 Variable Presets, Personal Hot Water Boiler 304 Stainless Steel with Auto Shut-Off & Boil Dry Protection

purchased this product on amazon: “Sekaer Portable Electric Tea Kettle Travel Small Mini Coffee Kettle, with 4 Variable Presets, Personal Hot Water Boiler 304 Stainless Steel with Auto Shut-Off & Boil Dry Protection”. i was at a high(er) altitude responsibly using this product and without warning, when i went to turn the top to open it, the top blew off and all the boiling water exploded on my wrist and hand causing 2nd degree burns. Despite the description of the product on amazon (quoted above), due to the high(er) altitude, the auto shut off did not function properly and the water kept boiling inside and pressure kept building inside until that pressure was relieved, by me, when i went to open the top. I have video’s to show how the device does not work properly at high(er) altitudes and how it work fine at sea level.
