The product, in the report: OXO 12 Cup Coffee Maker

Hello I want to make you aware of (if you’re not already) a possible inherent defect in an OXO Coffee Maker (specifically the 12-Cup Coffee Maker with Podless Single-Serve Function) I purchased one of these last year. It began having issues in short order whereby it would finish a brew and never shut off. More than once I’d left the kitchen during the brew process or set the machine to come on early in the morning for my spouse, and then to come into the kitchen to the machine still “running” and burning smells emanating from it. Called OXO, but due to the machine having been a gift, they could not do anything directly. I returned the unit to the “gifter” and promptly bought another new one directly from OXO in October 2024. Which then the second machine promptly began having the same issue. In December after being made to jump through many hoops by the mfgr. they sent me a new machine with an RMA. Due to numerous family issues I was unable to report to OXO that now on this third machine it was all happening yet again until June 30. As I’d tried using it again on the 28th and yet again it would no shut off. At this point the 3rd unit is in transit back to OXO who seem to think there is no chronic issue here. I do think this needs looking into
