The product, in the report: Nespresso Vertuo Pop plus coffee/expresso pod machine .
I was in my living room and I heard a sound of something running and thought it was my loud [coffee maker] but than it sounded differently. It was running to the point where it broke the part inside machine and it was hot like to the point it could of started a fire. I’m glad I was home to unplug it to stop it. I touched it inside and it was hot where it liked burned me a little on my hand when I touched it inside to check it.

No one hurt Made Feb 23, 2023, sent to the company Mar 10, 2023, published by CPSC Mar 24, 2023
The product, in the report: Nespresso VertuoPlus by Breville in Silver. Made in Hungary.
My Nespresso Vertuo coffee machine started smoking and had a strong smell of burning plastic. It was not being used at the time, but it had been used earlier that day with a slight odor (no smoke). Had I not been home to unplug it immediately, it seems likely that it could have started a fire. Nobody was injured, but it took several hours to air the chemical smell out of my home.

The product, in the report: NESPRESSO Vertuo Next Coffee and Espresso Machine by DeLonghi
Delonghi Nespresso Vertuo machine leaks water in counter. As much as 1L leaked overnight pooling around electrical machine and floor. Many customers reporting a similar issue, suspected cause is a faulty sealant in machine head and lack of excess water removal after using machine.
Potential injuries could be caused through electrical shock if water contacts electricity or fall if someone slips.

The product, in the report: Nespresso U espresso machine - uses Nespresso capsule-type espresso coffee
This morning (10/28/14) at 4:30am after making an espresso, my Nespresso U espresso machine started to emit dense white smoke and the outer plastic case of the machine began to deform. After quickly unplugging the machine and carrying it outside it continued to emit dense choking white smoke that was apparently the plastic melting.
