The product, in the report: 12 cup Black Universal Pause & Serve Glass Carafe. Item # 324486 Used to replace assorted coffeemaker carafes.
I filled my drip coffeemaker with 6 cups vinegar and 6 cups tap water as directed by the manufacturer. This was the cleaning process. Once this liquid ran through I removed the filled carafe and the carafe handle separated from the carafe. The carafe fell to the floor shattering and spraying me with scalding hot water and glass. The handle remained in my hand. The carafe was totally shattered. This carafe was a replacement and the handle was actually glued on in its manufacture. I had the product for 15 months.
I checked this product on Amazon and saw at least one review with the same incident happening to someone else.
