The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

The product, in the report: Laroma with black plastic lid and handle on top there is a red depression switch and a dial cold, hot, brew. The container is silver stainless steel. About 10 years old.

Laroma hot and cold beverage pot that we have had for about 10 years. Had hot coffee in the container and when lifted up the pot by the hard plastic handle the stainless steel portion detached. The contents spilled on my sons leg and foot. He had second degree burns on the top of his foot which required a couple weeks of daily wound care. The hard plastic handle had apparently become unglued from the stainless steel container.
