The product, in the report: HADEN single serve coffee maker, black with rose gold trims, Item#990321989 at Sam’s Club (no longer available), per manufacturer the product was discontinued.
The product is HADEN single serve coffee maker that is compatible with [REDACTED] coffee pods and had been using it intermittently for just over a year. On the morning of 1/16/2025, small metallic paper-like objects were floating in the coffee cup. Upon investigation, it was noted that the metallic coating/wrapping around where the coffee is dispensed was peeling/flaking off. Additionally, when the drip tray drain grate was removed, there was rose gold color metallic residue in the drip tray. The coffee was discarded and the coffee maker has not been in use since. No injuries but concerned with inadvertent consumption of potentially unsafe material as unaware of how long the material had been disintegrating.
